For anyone who didn’t get the memo at the turn of the millennium: wet-looking hair is no longer cool! It’s time to let go of the 90’s pop revolution and the horrid styles and trends that accompanied it. So unless you’re dressing up as B44 for Halloween, you should dispose of your disgusting gooey gel already. Now, enter product placement. My amazing hairdresser introduced me to OSiS+ Dust It mattifying powder by Schwarzkopf Professional a while back, and I’ve been an avid fan ever since. This styling product is a must-have for guys and girls alike. It’s easy to use and leaves your hair looking naturally styled, without the wet look. Don’t be fooled, the bottle may appear small, but this stuff lasts. Beware, however. This product leaves quite a bit of build-up in your hair. Therefore, make sure to buy a good shampoo and conditioner to keep your hair looking clean. On that note, I welcome your hair to the 21st century! It’s about time.

    Styling directions (as per schwarzkopfprofessional.com):

“Sprinkle a small amount of OSiS Dust It mattifying powder into your palms and rub together. Rake through dry hair and lift into style for an ultra-matt effect. For extra root volume apply directly to the roots. For extra line separation apply more mattifying powder in small amounts where needed.”

RIHANNA & BRITNEY SPEARS - have teamed up to give us the remix for Rihanna's latest S&M. Perfect duo for a song like this. It's ironic that Britney Spears is draped in the white and Rihanna is really not letting this bad girl image go. Sex sells I suppose.

DAVID DELISCA - hands down one of my favorite poets of all time and one of the most clever lyricits I know. I was super excited when he forwarded me this project he did. DAVID DELISCA (yes the Ah-Yo BB poet) has done a cover for THE WEEKND mixtape and by far it blew me away listening to it.

K CITY - of the group SOUNDSICK has come out with another one of his hits. The good people of SOUNDSICK were thoughtful enough to keep Follow The L in the loop and gave us this video to share all of our readers/listeners and SOUNDSICK fans.

RnB has seriously lost it's innocents with artist like Raheem Devaughn and Trey Songz (don't get us wrong we still love them) but good wholesome RnB that I wouldn't mind my younger cousins listening to is lost. Until now, K CITY releases his song What's Your Name featuring J Watts (another SOUNDSICK member).

It's a really cute song and the beat is a signature SOUNDSICK tune.

JENNIFER LOPEZ - seems like Jenny from the block is back! Jennifer Lopez has teamed up with Lil Wayne (shocking, I know) to give us a new dance track I'm Into You. I heard this for the first time driving downtown to meet up with a few friends and I have to admit I instantly LOVED IT!

It's a catchy upbeat track that is definitely going to be in my 2011 summer time fun playlist. If this is what we can expect from JLO, then count me in. I'm far from a Jennifer Lopez fan but this song is a GO!

DAVID NOTES & CARPE DM - better known as Ottawa's HOMETOWN HEROS have recently released their new music video for their single Fly Away. The song is definitely something that you'll catch yourself singing along to. The two artists found a balance and delivered an even mix of RnB (David Notes) and HipHop (Carpe DM).

The video was shot at various locations in our Nation's Capital, Ottawa. It also includes cameos by Alex V. Andre (Lead vocalist from the electro house super group DUBBS), Andrew MacIntosh (also from the electro house super group DUBBS) and Sucre Cortez (Fashion stylist and Dancer). Directed by Pascal, who also shot the film Evol.

Spring is finally here and summer is creeping around the corner; you know what that means..... Canada's Wonderland! This year, Wonderland will be introducing a brand new ride called WindSeeker which is going to be the tallest ride in the park. WindSeeker will be standing at 301 feet (91.7M) with two person swing-seats attached to the metal arms that will swing riders at a 45 degree angle at 50 km. WindSeeker will be the 68th ride at Wonderland and its 70 feet higher than Behemoth, so imagine that! The new ride will be next to the roller coaster Vortex, overlooking the mountain. Expect to see long lines this year at Canada's Wonderland!
