This week the offices of Research In Motion introduced their brand new and very popular BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 smartphones. It is completely redesigned once again. The shape looks like the old BlackBerry Bold 9000 but it is the thinnest and lightest BlackBerry yet at only 10.5mm! Another huge feature they added to this BlackBerry Bold is the high resolution Liquid Graphics touch screen. So not only you have the option to type on the easy to use keyword, but now you can easily use your fingers to swipe, pinch and zoom. The new Bold will also be running on the brand new BlackBerry 7 operating system. So expect to do your emailing, browsing (HTML5) and multimedia duties much faster as well as downloading apps. Alright all you CrackBerry addicts, there is no release date on the new BlackBerry Bold just yet but expect to see it come out in the summer.

Me, Karla and the crew at @Karla “hustleGRL” photoshoot. Photos and behind the scenes video coming soon
SHASH Photography - by this time we've all become very familiar with the great work of SHASH Photography (Follow The L's official photographer) and we are proud to see such a talented man grow within such a short amount of time.

Just last week Nabil Shash of SHASH Photography and team did a photoshoot with Karla 'HustleGRL' Moy (the hardest working teen in Toronto, hands down). Luckily there was behind the scene's footage (shot by Kimba M) of the shoot and the pics came out GREAT!

Shash definitely did take Karla out of that seemingly "teeenage" look and Karla's maturity definitely did shine through the lens. She's not 17 years old anymore Toronto!

It was just a matter of time that Sony was gonna announce a tablet and today they did just that. Sony is developing two tablets calling them by their codenames 'S1' and 'S2' for now. The tablets will be running on the brand new Android 3.0 platform. Right off the bat, you can easily see that the designs of both tablets look completely different.

The S1 has a large 9.4 inch touch screen which will be light and have a comfortable grip, great for rich media entertainment. With the S1, users will also be able to use the tablet as a remote control for your television (Bravia has been announced).

On the evening of Wednesday April 20th, millions of PlayStation gamers were left game-less for the long weekend. Apparently the PSN was down for maintenance because hackers managed to shut it down. Since then PlayStation has been working around the clock to restore the online network. They are re-building the system's online network to tighten the security and there is still no information on when the PSN will be back online. With the PSN always getting shut down, gamers may have the urge to switch over to the Xbox 360.

I personally have a PlayStation 3 and I only play online so it kind of sucks; especially when I don't feel like watching TV or take a break from the computer. Check out PlayStation Blog for the latest news on this story.

THE PURSUIT: Motivation For Body Transformation - it's not often that you see young cultured adults promoting healthy living and being introduced to a healthier way of living thanks to my new commitment to my gym I too have found a new like to get in shape. A good friend of mine and founder of Local Fitness Pros (and Toronto native) Adam Ali has taken it upon himself to really push the envelope and do something different. He's decided to do something very daring and go public with his fitness transformation in hopes to inspire those like him to not only get fit but adopt a "I won't lose" mentality.

Adam Ali will be going following up his first part video with several other work out promo videos to keep everyone up to date with his progress as well as to set the example that it can be done.

As we Canadians head to the polls, the legendary Nardwuar catches up with Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff in Vancouver. Nardwuar gives Mr. Ignatieff some history about his grandfather which surprised everyone in the room. Nardwuar also gets Michael Ignatieff to do the Canadian Hip-Flip Game, which every politician (except Steven Harper) has done.

Over the weekend, one of the biggest musical festivals Coachella took place! The festival had some of the biggest artists from every genre like Kings Of Leon, Erykah Badu, Duck Sauce and Kanye West. Unfortunately I did not make it to California this year but through the power of the 21st century technology, I was able to catch some of the acts live from YouTube thanks to 5 Gum. Some of the acts I managed to catch were, Mumford & Sons (first time watching... really awesome), Erykah Badu (she killed it but she really wanted to sing longer), Empire Of The Sun (I have always wanted to see them live!) and Wiz Khalifa did a really good job pumping up the crowd. I did want to watch more but I couldn't stop watching NBA playoffs! Maybe next year the Follow The L team will be in sunny Cali covering Coachella! Leave a comment and tell us what bands you managed to see!

TYRESE GIBSON - who knew that hot boy Tyrese Gibson was more than just a pretty face (body & everything else he was blessed with) and decided to write a book. Yes, you read right, model actor singer Tyrese "baby boy" Gibson has just released his self help book How To Get Out of Your Own Way on April 7th.

I'm not too sure about you but this definitely came out of left field and was completely unexpected. When asked what the intent of the book was for Tyrese stated...

"It’s not about talking down to people, it’s about elevating them"
Never the less, much success to Tyrese book sales - sorry but I for once will not be taking advice from Tyrese - I rather read something from someone who was able to keep themselves a little more relevant.

The 2010 - 2011 regular season of NBA finally came to an end yesterday and come Saturday the first round of the playoffs will begin! The Eastern conference is looking like its gonna be really fun to watch. Here is my input for the 2011 NBA Playoffs. Leave a comment and tell me what your predictions are and who is gonna come out on top.

My predictions for the East: Bulls will take the win against the Pacers and the Magic beat Hawks. Semifinals, Bulls will beat Magic and advance to the conference finals. For the other half, Celtics will beat Knicks and Heat will beat 76ers. Semifinals, Heat will beat Celtics and advance to the Eastern conference finals. In the Eastern conference finals it will be Bulls again the Heat in which Bulls will take the win.

My predictions for the West: Spurs will win over the Grizzlies and Thunder will take out the Nuggets. For the semifinals it will be a tight game but I think Spurs will defeat Thunder and advance to the Western conference finals. For the other half, Mavericks will take the win over the Trail Blazers and Lakers will defeat the Hornets. In the semifinals, Lakers will beat the Mavericks and advance. For the Western conference finals, Lakers will come out on top and beat the Spurs in a tough battle.

NBA Finals: So in the finals I believe it will the Chicago Bulls versus the Los Angeles Lakers. It will be one hell of a battle, but I really think the Lakers will take the championship title again this year.

In 2005 Sony brought us a brand new way to experience portable gaming, with the PSP (Playstation Portable). What set the PSP apart from their competitor the Nintendo DS was their amazing graphics, internet capabilities and the high resolution movie experience. This year Sony took it up a notch and presented everyone with the next generation of portable gaming, hence the title NGP. Sony's NGP has a completely new redesigned user interface called LiveArea. It also has an OLED touch screen, a rear (yea thats right) touch pad for a precise gaming experience along with Sixaxis motion sensors and three-axis electronic compass. Another big feature are the front and rear cameras, to take pictures and high definition videos. Sony has also put in dual analog sticks, which many people have wanted.

One of the best party movies of the decade, The Hangover took the world by storm and even winning Best Picture-Comedy & Musical at the Golden Globes in 2009. And I even bet you that Las Vegas got more visitors cause of that movie. Now the boys are back for another wild night in The Hangover Part II. This time their in Bangkok, Thailand for Stu's (Ed Helms) wedding and of course nothing goes as planned. The cast remains the same with Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, Ed Helms reprising their roles and there will even be more surprise cameos. CHRIS BROWN - perhaps it's a tad too premature to celebrate the success of CHRIS BROWN's new album F.A.M.E - NOT! Climbing to the number 1 spot on the Billboard charts in it's first week selling 273k albums, I'm sure it's pretty obvious without having to say that CHRIS BROWN is back.

Within the last two years CHRIS BROWN has come a long way from being RnB's golden child to the entire entertainment world's target for shooting practice and now back to being the performer that we once loved him for.

Congratulations to CHRIS BROWN - the album is definitely a dope selection of a bunch of great tunes to dance/vibe to.

These t-shirts are a trademark of Toronto and have been worn from people and artists around the world. If you are ever looking for the most unique watches ever then you definitely want to check out Tokyoflash. Its a Japanese company that designs the coolest watches with LED and LCD lights and they just released seven new watches by the brand EleeNo. The 'Counter' indicates the time backwards; 'Eye Test' shows the time with the outside circle being the hour and minutes being the ring. The one that stood out to me was the 'One Hand' where you tell the time with one hand. All these watches are designed with a stainless steal case, mineral crystal lens and a genuine leather band. The best thing about these watches is that once it's sold out they don't make them again making it a limited edition. I personally bought a watch from them and its amazing! You'll get heads turning for sure. To learn more about the watches and to purchase one click here.

THE WEEKND - it's without question that the entire city of Toronto including our very own Drake has been going ape nuts over THE WEEKND. I can easily say without any hesitation that they got next and to be honest the dope shit they've been coming out with, rightfully so.

THE WEEKND created a huge buzz with What You Want then dropped Wicked Games which swept through Toronto within HOURS like a tsunami. At their high of demand THE WEEKND drops the mixtape House of Balloons. If you download ANYTHING from Follow The L - this mixtape right here is a MUST HAVE in your collection.

Don't say we never do anything for you because this music is simply bliss. I can't even pull word together to describe it.

One of Apple's biggest events, the Worldwide Developers Conference 2011 will take place from June 6th to the 10th at Mocone West, San Francisco California. The WWDC is usually when Steve Jobs announces a brand new iPhone (5 being this year) but rumours are going around that it may not happen. Apparently this conference will preview only the new operating system for all the portable devices (iOS 5) and the new operating system for the Mac, Mac OS Lion. Its still very early to say that there will be no iPhone 5, so stay tuned to Follow The L. Tickets were on sale at $1, 599 but they are already sold out in just a few hours. Leave a comment to tell us what you are expecting from Apple.

Looks like this summer is going to be filled with superhero movies. Your gonna have Thor, X-Man: First Class, Green Lantern and of course Captain America: The First Avenger. Judging by this trailer, Captain America looks like its going to be awesome! The movie stars Chris Evans (Fantastic Four, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) as the lead roll along with Tommy Lee Jones, Hugo Weaving and is set in the World War 2 era. The thing I hate about these superhero movies is the story, I love the action, but if the story and dialogue ain't good then its over for me. But Captain America does look like it will kick ass (so does Thor). Leave a comment below telling me what superhero movie(s) are you looking forward to seeing this summer.

This weekend Canadian gamers will be gearing up for Nintendo's latest hand held portable device, the Nintendo 3DS (yeah 3D!). It seems like 3D has been showing up everywhere in the entertainment industry, from movies to TV shows and now just recently video games. The thing that makes this product so different is that with just a flick of a button you can switch from 2D to 3D gaming and you don't need any silly 3D glasses to put on. So, the product itself has two screens just like its predecessor but this time we have a vivid top LCD 3D screen with a touch sensitive bottom screen that you can use with a stylus or your fingers. Another big feature on the Nintendo 3DS are the two outer cameras where you can take pictures but most importantly play the 'AR Games' which pop out of screen. Nintendo also installed the motion and gyro sensor, so that means when you tilt and move your hands with the 3DS the product will react (just like the iPhone). Overall, the Nintendo 3DS sounds like something you will need to see and play in person before making the decision to purchase it because of Sony releasing their NGP and the stiff competition from Apple. Nintendo 3DS is priced at $249.99 and will be available in black and blue on Sunday March 27 at all Best Buy and GameStop stores. You can visit Nintendo's official website for more information.
