OK SERIOUSLY THOUGH?!?!?!A Balloon Boy?!? After watching the entire family on CNN lastnight its pretty obvious this whole thing is a joke....isnt it? I dont know what mother that wouldn't be greatful to see her son well and unharmed but would KNOCK THE SHIT out of their child if they pulled something like that! It's only the day after yet there are photoshoots already posted of the boy?
I just hope that this was a hoax and the family know its a temp. way of getting air time! Nobody is going to remember this kid a month from now when a 5 year old safes an entire aircraft! lol..ok that was extreme but you know what i mean

THE COMPETITION
Jimmy Choo and Elton John AIDS Foundation have launched a photo competition to support the launch of Project PEP, a charity collection that donates 25% of sales to the Simelela Rape Centre in South Africa. The money goes towards providing the HIV-preventative treatment PEP (which must be taken within 72 hours of exposure to HIV) and counselling to victims of rape in South Africa, which has the highest count of rape in the world.
ENTRIES
The theme of the photo competition is ‘You, Your Shoes and 72’, and as you can see from some of the photo entries below, we’ve had a very diverse response over the past few weeks.
PRIZES
Those who submit their entries before 26th October will be shortlisted for an exhibition at the celebrity launch event at Selfridges London on 29th October. On this night Tamara Mellon will launch the ‘PEP-Up Shop’ at Selfridges, which will display the Project PEP collection and the selected photo entries for 72 hours thereafter.
The overall winners will be announced after the competition close on 7th December. On offer is a Grand Prize of 7 pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes and 2 handbags, plus over 100 exclusive Jimmy Choo prizes.

Not exactly sure how many people sat down to see Oprah's special on Mike Tyson yesterday. It was definitely worth your while to tune in. And for those men who done like Oprah....these kind of episodes are the ones you should be watching!
After watching him on O..I couldnt help but really feel bad for him. Call me a sap or whatever but I (and I know im not alone on this based on a lot of peoples tweets about it) feel really bad for him that we've (EVERYONE) have deemed him as a monster since the Holyfield fight.
....as for the Robin Given's situation...that woman looks annoying as hell, not giving him any reason to put his hands on her...but I could see how that combination of people would not be a good one.
Below is a clip of the interview...ENJOY!
Usher calls police on Tameka - Tameka takes stabs at Usher!!!!

So Tameka Raymond ....WHO?? Tameka Raymond (YES it seems as though she's keeping the last name...Hmmm) has written a few articles since its been announced that her and Usher were getting divorced. Here's a piece from Global Grind :
"……..Before the tirades and “smoke and mirror-esque” themes, when music actually made sense, even a mere decade ago, it was something we created memories with, celebrated, made and raised our kids to. It embodied our diverse cultures, experiences, and gave others a peek into our soulful worlds. Yet there are many like Lauryn, Mary J, Common and others that are non-conformists. They have never compromised themselves, their sexuality nor their art, yet they remain timeless. Although standing in “the Light’ has had its costs for all, selling one’s soul for relevance is completely different. It makes one wonder the cost of buying it back. I believe that many of these artists today lack the confidence in self that proves to be true staying power. Where there is absolute talent, no drama, no controversy, no nonsensical angles are needed. Its called: Do what God gave you the talent to do and leave the shenanigans to vaudeville and the games to Milton Bradley. For those naysayers, I don’t feel the need to run down my list of qualifications or validate myself, or point out the careers I have funded, started, saved, and salvaged. Yet I will say to those that create diversions for relevancy…to stop, save face, don’t listen to those that benefit more from their advice to you, and ask God for suitable guidance. In the meantime don’t feel inclined to do anything that isn’t organic. At this point, I think I may start my own trending topic #betruetoyourself.
Those that actually KNOW me, know how I love a quote that is apropos, so as Dr. Seuss wrote:
'Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.' "
Its been reported that Usher called the police on Tameka this past weekend because his car was scratched up on the drivers side. When police came to the scene .... Tameka was no where to be found...lol....this divorce is getting really good....well for us anyway...Don't think I'm evil...its about time Usher produces an album as good as Confessions 2 and the only time he seems to give us good music is when he's going through stuff. Sorry Usher but you've been happy for far too long...we want good music!!!

NEW ARTIST: Don Von Jovi

GOOD Morning/Afternoon/Evening to all! To all Canadians, I hope your Thanksgiving weekend is going well - I for one would like to thank you for continuing to Follow The L!!
Here's a treat! NEW ARTIST! Don Von Jovi (loving the name) is a Toronto raised artist who is seriously on his grind! He's definitely something to look out for.
He's got a gift for scripting clever metaphors and his acute attention to wordplay is worth your while to listen to. Don Von has already performed at various shows and open mics through out the city.
...and ladies he's a definite heart throb!!!
A BIT ABOUT HIM:
Raised in Toronto's Glendower Circuit housing complexes at an early age he began soaking in every detail of his surroundings.Inspired to write of his own experiences after listning to the messages of a wide variety of musical styles (Reggae, Soul, & Hip Hop).
"Let the music speak for itself and the rest will follow" - Don Von JoVi

Don Von Jovi - The Truth (video)
Fortunately I had the opportunity to get a few questions in with the man...to say the least...he's focused!
L.Adonia: Whats on your playlist right now?
Don Von Jovi: Wow! First off I literally listen to everything so my playlist is definitely very eclectic. Where can I start? I have a little Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, Jay-z, Curren$y, A Tribe Called Quest, Gucci Mane, J Dilla, Notorious B.I.G, Outkast, umm? I can go on for days.
L.Adonia: Facebook or Twitter?
Don Von Jovi: Both. I think it's really cool that I can reach so many people in the comfort of my own home. While I'm in Toronto I'm reaching people in Australia, Jamaica, and Brooklyn simultaneously. That's crazy! I think it's also a must as a new artist to integrate with new technology. It takes my grind to a whole new level.
L.Adonia: What's your mission with your music?
Don Von Jovi: I want to touch people with open honesty. My music is a collage of moods, emotions and thoughts. Music is a universal language. Often times we play something to remember moments of our lives. If only for 3-4 more minutes I want to take you on a journey and bring you into my world.
L.Adonia: Can you identify your style of music with any other current artist right now?
Don Von Jovi: Ultimately I'm a risk taker. I can't identify my style with anyone in particular but I do have a lot of respect for artists creating their own moulds like Kid Cudi, Drake, Wale etc. We're in a time where Music is one big mashup just as the Eighties was. No one sound will define the airwaves, no one genre will be dominant. With less boundaries greater music will be made.
L.Adonia: What can people expect when u drop ur EP?
Don Von Jovi: It's my introduction to the world. My door is now open to you. I'm sharing much more than music. The records on the LP reflect my who I am from a perspective where you can see what I see.
L.Adonia: What artist do you look forward to working with?
Don Von Jovi: Good artists period! LOL but if I could choose one artist for the ultimate collab I'd probably say Jazmine Sullivan. Her voice is a gift. She belts from a place deep in her soul. I'm going to make that happen. Now if we're talking producers!? I have a list too long to mention. LOL
L.Adonia: Where/Who do you draw you're inspiration from?
Don Von Jovi: From the environment around me. From history. From life. Everyday I find myself having a moment of inspiration.
L.Adonia: Where do you see yourself 5 years from now?
Don Von Jovi: Doing what I do now. Doing what my passion drives me to. I definitely see movies in the picture. In front of the camera and behind the scenes. Living, learning and expressing my experiences in some form. 5 years seems like a long time but it really isnt.
L.Adonia: How has being a Hip Hop artist from Canada shaped your music?
Don Von Jovi: Being Canadian and living in Toronto, a melting pot of culture I grew up listening to everything. It's made me appreciate music that much more. Before radio stations like FLOW there were no real " All Urban" stations. As kids we listened to what our parents listened to regardless of the genre. My mother had a diverse collection of funk, soul, reggae, and rock records. I guess I picked up from her.
