[GOODIES] Richie Blackz Video Debute @ [KISSES] Sat. July 24th

LONDON - It's about time the great forest city of London, ON (my hometown) finally had it's own anthem. Thanks to London native Richie Blackz it now has one. Just a few months ago he shot the video for his newest single London Town and Follow The L was privilaged enough to have held the official shooting day afterparty.

Follow The L has teamed up with Richie Blackz once again to debute the video that he shot a while back at our monthy shindig [KISSES] coming up Saturday July 24th. Haven't seen the video yet but based off the photos and what people who were at the shoot told me it's definitely going to be a direct reflection of the entire city.

[GOODIES] Pretty Girls Have It Hard

Halle Berry, Christina Milian, Jennifer Aniston, Stacey Dash....what do these women have in common? Bad taste in men, maybe. Some may argue that it's much harder for DROP DEAD gorgeous women to sustain relationships.

An unfounded theory but a valid observation! Their personal relationships have been broadcasted for the entire world to see and it just seems like it's one disasterous relationship after another. In the case of C. Milian her cheating husband (The Dream) really made his doggish behaviour public. What makes it even more insulting is that the chick he cheated with wasn't cuter than his wife (similar to Tiger Woods situation).

[MUSIC] Andreena Mill Is Singing Her Own Tune.....La, La, La

ANDREENA MILL - Any true Torontonian can put their left lung on the line to say this woman can sing and it's about time she gets the recognition former group member Melanie Fiona (for those who didn't know they were apart of X-Quisite along with MTV Canada host Nicole Holness) has been receiving, not to take anything away from Melanie.

Although we haven't heard much from her since Picture Perfect which was everyone's Valentine's jam, she's come back strong with La, La, La. It's amazing how much talent this woman possess. I for one can NOT wait for her mixtape ALL EYES ON ME to be release!

[GOODIES] The Mo'nique Show Is Not A Source For Relationship Advice! Black People Wake Up!!

OPEN RELATIONSHIP - My cousin Eden came over sometime last week and we spent the whole night catching up on a bunch of stuff (our lives and other things) when she mentioned something that caught my attention. She was watching The Mo'nique Show the night before (due to a lack of good late night shows), because she tuned in half way through the show she was a little unsure of what the topic was about. The guests on the show that particular night were a young successful black couples, assuming the episode was about how to sustain a young black couple my cousin Eden continued to watch.

She was mortified to later find out the episode was infact about OPEN RELATIONSHIPS. I'm just going to go right ahead and say it, ANYONE who thinks an open relationship is infact a relationship needs to bungie jump off a bridge, no bungie!

[GOODIES] Once A Cheater, Always A Cheater?!?

This is something that has come across my mind a few times and has struck up some very interesting conversations out of a few people. Is the saying "once a cheater always a cheater" really true? Looking at  cheating celebs like Tiger Woods and Kobe Bryant have me wondering if their experiences have deterred them to commite another act of adultery or have they just gotten better and smarter on how to cheat?

Maybe it's my pride or hurt feelings but I for one am strongly against continuing a romantic relationship with anyone who has been unfaithful. I just can't see why that person wouldn't do it again if there weren't any severe consequences (you leaving). Now I'm not saying people are unable to make a mistake and change their ways, they can in their next relationship.

[EVENT] La Dame: One Night Guerrilla Art Show TORONTO

TORONTO - We all know that the city of Toronto is definitely far from short of artistic creative beings. Follow The L reader Karla Smith-Brown let us know about this GREAT event that any person who appreciates raw art can enjoy.

LA DAME is a one-night guerrilla art show on Thursday July 15, 2010. Photographer Antony Creary will be debuting his collections LA DAME which is his way of celebrating a woman's body. Photography is amazing and the picture used for the flyer speaks volumes as to what you can expect to see at the show.

[MUSIC] Ron Dias Is Way Past Love.......Good Music!

TORONTO - Ron Dias has been hard at work putting together some seriously good music with the likes of Shi Wisdom and Wolf J McFarlane. This trailer for Way Past Love is easily going to become a Toronto favorite and most definitely has the potential to be a classic.

Who know Shi Wisdom's vocals were THAT serious! WOW girl, I'm blown away to say the very least! The production on this is timeless, something that'll be relevant for years to come.

Based off this trailer alone, I'm super excited about the video as well as actually hearing the complete song Way Past Love by Ron Dias.
