“Jonathon Twiz is a melting pot of hip hop, indie, and electro culture all in one”

Mostly rhyme in lyricism, his music extends far beyond the boundaries of hip hop. Not afraid to break into different territories, Jonathon Twiz has expanded his horizons by bringing together indie and electro inspired hip hop on his mixtape, After The Jump. His a appreciation for good music is clearly reflected in his choices to bring songs such as Spoon’s “Was It You”, Hot Chip’s “Shake A Fist”, and Washed Out’s “Feel It All Around” (just to name a few) in a creative hiphop form. Jonathon Twiz created this mixtape with the intention of expanding listener’s ears into sounds outside of their comfort zone of hip hop.

If you’re planning on buying a new pair of sneakers or skater shoes for the summer then I strongly urge you to reconsider. Why, you ask? Because no fashion forward guys wear them anymore. Casual doesn’t have to lack in style. Instead, buy a pair of drivers or moccasins. They’re completely in vogue and easy to pull off. Offered in a variety of colours and styles, and available at various price ranges, these shoes are last years boat shoes (which are still very fashionable). Warning: do NOT wear these shoes with white socks. In fact, I don’t wear socks with them at all. Treat them like sandals. Everyone will be wearing these this summer, so buy yours now! I already did.

Me, Karla and the crew at @Karla “hustleGRL” photoshoot. Photos and behind the scenes video coming soon
SHASH Photography - by this time we've all become very familiar with the great work of SHASH Photography (Follow The L's official photographer) and we are proud to see such a talented man grow within such a short amount of time.

Just last week Nabil Shash of SHASH Photography and team did a photoshoot with Karla 'HustleGRL' Moy (the hardest working teen in Toronto, hands down). Luckily there was behind the scene's footage (shot by Kimba M) of the shoot and the pics came out GREAT!

Shash definitely did take Karla out of that seemingly "teeenage" look and Karla's maturity definitely did shine through the lens. She's not 17 years old anymore Toronto!

ANDREENA MILL - Easter Monday was no day of rest for the Canadian singer ANDREENA MILL, while everyone was eating good food and meeting with family and friends our lovely ANDREENA MILL was in the middle of a photo shoot for the cover for her new album All Eyes on Me.

Luckily Follow The L had the opportunity to cover the behind the scenes of the photo shoot and share this experience with ANDREENA MILL's team. I can not wait to see how the final product turns out, with fashion photographer, Paolo Azzarga, shooting the cover you can't lose!!

Follow The L's behind the scenes photos were taken by Aden Abebe, big big shout out to her and her fabulous job done on capturing some really great moments.

It was just a matter of time that Sony was gonna announce a tablet and today they did just that. Sony is developing two tablets calling them by their codenames 'S1' and 'S2' for now. The tablets will be running on the brand new Android 3.0 platform. Right off the bat, you can easily see that the designs of both tablets look completely different.

The S1 has a large 9.4 inch touch screen which will be light and have a comfortable grip, great for rich media entertainment. With the S1, users will also be able to use the tablet as a remote control for your television (Bravia has been announced).

Jared Leto has signed to become the new face of HUGO Fragrances. The actor/musician and former model will be featured in a campaign for a new fragrance, which launches this coming July.

Here’s what Leto had to say about the exciting collaboration: “HUGO inspires men to succeed through creativity, which is something I’ve aimed for my entire career. Like the HUGO man I look for inspiration in everything around me and seek out unusual and unexpected things and experiences.”

This should be an interesting partnership. Leto’s normally edgier look is a slight contradiction to the sophistication and classiness of the HUGO image. Nonetheless, Leto has become quite the style icon, especially in recent years, and definitely knows how to dress to impress. Stay tuned for pictures of the campaign.

On the evening of Wednesday April 20th, millions of PlayStation gamers were left game-less for the long weekend. Apparently the PSN was down for maintenance because hackers managed to shut it down. Since then PlayStation has been working around the clock to restore the online network. They are re-building the system's online network to tighten the security and there is still no information on when the PSN will be back online. With the PSN always getting shut down, gamers may have the urge to switch over to the Xbox 360.

I personally have a PlayStation 3 and I only play online so it kind of sucks; especially when I don't feel like watching TV or take a break from the computer. Check out PlayStation Blog for the latest news on this story.

LINCOLN BLACHE - is what you get when you collaborate Rock n' Roll with Hip Hop. Just this past Wednesday LINCOLN BLACHE released his EP Lincoln High. A year and a half creative project that took place all across North America in cities like Toronto, Los Angeles and Atlanta.

Lincoln High is a 10 track piece that is nothing like it's kind. I really have yet to come across another piece of music that I can put in the same category as LINCOLN BLACHE.

BEYONCE - with a new single out and a whole new Bossy Bad Girl look she's definitely continuing her streak of making songs that really promotes girl power. Follow The L's good friends at Sony Music Canada hooked us up with a listen and video teaser of Beyonce's latest track and video We Run The World (Girls).

Produced by Major Lazer's Switch (in conjunction with Beyonce) and song written by The Dream (in conjunction with Beyonce) the song is pretty hot but really nothing too mind blowing. It`s just what you`d expect from a Major Lazer & Beyonce collaboration. With that being said hopefully the video delivers more excitement, then again when does watching Beyonce dance her hiney off get boring?!? Take a listen and judge for yourself.
