[NEWS] Welcome To Your New Home Nets!!!!

YESTERDAY was a memorable day for New Yorkers and of course Jay-Z had a huge hand in making it such a big day!The a new home for the New York Nets went up. The area holds 18, 000 people and is quite the venue!

The ceremony took place in Brooklyn where the new arena is. It was huge and looked like everything went well - the smile across Jay-Z face is a dead give away. Wifey Beyonce, of course  attended looking FABULOUS as always.

Now with that said this has me thinking about the property value for the surrounding neighbors. I sure hope Jay-Z took that into consideration when contributing to the building and location of this arena. It would be a terrible thing if the nearby residence didn't have a fixed rate and could no longer afford to live there because of this.

[EVENTS & FASHION] FASHION For A Great Cause!!!!

TIASTAR.COM - being the first Canadian Online Dress Store - has teamed up with Wish Upon A Star to bring us this great charitable event that is a great idea!

They're providing formal attire for graduates who are unable to afford an outfit for their prom. They come up with this great idea to ask attendees to bring "gently used" formal attire to donate for the cause, which isn't asking for much.

[NEWS] More MEDIA for Mona Halem !!!

YESTERDAY it was The Wall Street Journal, TODAY its The Globe and Mail! So I was in my 8AM class today when my professor brought in The Globe and Mail, she pulled this article out and told me that she thought of me when reading this. I was more than blown away and flattered that she would even say that.

Mona Halem of Lady Luck Entertainment it's your week honey! It's GREAT to see that someone doing so well is really being recognized for what they do. Real refreshing. She's definitely a role model for any woman trying to get into a business state of mind. HELLO!

The article was done by Paul Waldie and Andrew Willis who did a fantastic job of interviewing her. Great work.

[NEWS] Monica & Rocko Go Their Seperate Ways!!!

BAD NEWS from this couple. Word just got out a few hours ago that Monica and husband Rocko are no longer an item. Which is sad considering children are involved. Who would have thought that MONICA & ROCKO out of all couples were having troubles.

Definitely didn't expect this coming from the two of them. I know theres editing and stuff but from watching Still Standing they seemed like a pretty happy couple. Without giving details, Monica tweeted about the situation between the two of them. She expressed how much she appreciated her fans support and explained that they will always be a father.

She said..."Rest is a private matter between @Rocko4Real and I. He is a good person. We all make mistakes...." Hmmm which has me thiking...WTF did Rocko do to our girl Monica?!?! I guess he really did live by Imma Do Me

I pray for the best for her and the family (especially the children)...

[MUSIC] Diggy Simons RAPPING?!?!!?

OK this is really making me wish I was a Simmons child. Who knew that Diggy was rapping now?!?!?! I'd figured he was going to attempt it like his brother Jojo but leave it alone. I mean shoot I even had pipe dreams of being the next Jha Jha (Dipset's 1st lady for those who don't know) but that dream was quickly crushed when I realized it wasn't going to happen.

EXPECT to see Kelis around a bit more than we have been in the very near future. She's been working on her new album Flesh Tone which has no release date as of yet. Kelis has been in hiding for quite some time now but she's been well missed.

She is most definitely a certified {lipstick.boss} and is a creative genius of her own. I can confidently say I'd place her in the same category as Ryan Leslie and Dallas Austin in regards to creativity and a sense of her own style.

I know I can't wait for more music from her...I just hope everyone doesn's abuse it like they did with Bossy.

[NEWS] Beyonce & Mama Tina's NEW SCHOOL OPENS!!!!

BEYONCE and mama Tina have officially opened up their school. Turns out that its a beauty school - Beyonce Cosmetology Centre - for rehabilitated men and women to learn the skills to keep up with maintaining themselves. GREAT idea Beyonce.

The idea of doing this apparently came to her while studying to play for her role as Etta James for Cadillac Records at Phoenix House Treatment Centre.

While being interviewed with ABC news they of course where asking a million and one questions not pertaining to the school. Of course they slickly inquired about her plans on motherhood and it's clear that Jay-Z isn't the only person eager to start having kids. Mama Tina made it very clear that she's praying for some little beybey's and jays to be running around sometime soon!

[GOODIES] Stay Away From Brookyn!!!

DISAPPOINTED! Is the only way I can describe to you how I felt after watching this movie. Hands down, the most disappointing movie I've watched yet. There were really high expectations for this movie, true, however after creating something like Training Day can you blame the public for expecting GREATNESS?!?!

For one the film was SOOOOOO predictable...if I (of all people) can tell what is going to happen in the movie ...ALL BAD. I'm the last person to "know" what is going to happen.

All the African Americans and Hispanics in the film were protrayed as senseless goons and the ONE decent one that was played was of course KILLED off, while the crook, prostitute hopping white cop who didn't care about life walks SMH.

Not to mention the story was just all over the place. After talking to a few people who had also went to watch the film the general consensus amongst everyone is pretty much the same...SAVE yourself a few bucks and bootleg this one!

The only people who seemed to enjoy it were people from Brooklyn!

 

[GOODIES] Lindsay Lohan vs E-Trade Baby!!

AS ridiculous as this is I just had to write about it. Our little fire cracker Lindsay Lohan is sueing e-trade for using her first name in their Super Bowl commerical. Apparently she feels that she has first name recognition (which im not arguing) what threw me off was that fact that she compared herself to Madonna & Beyonce....SMH.

Calm down little girl...its really not THAT serious! The way the courts entertain foolish cases in the states I wouldn't be surprised if she actually won this one.

SHUG KNIGHT - Terror, fear, threatened and scared are all the emotions that ran through me when seeing him in Las Vegas. Soooo that definitely makes me pitty the individual who has to break this bad news to him in person.

Word is, Mr.Knight owes the IRS $6 million - HA! Good Luck getting that from him.

PAGE just doesn't seem to ever stop! Newest video out and its a collabo. Toronto meets Miami...HELLO! After taking in the song its obvious that Page fearlessly went in on this track alongside Brisco. I have a feeling I'll be hearing this blasting out of a few cars around the city.

We're deciding on a new logo and we figured who better than the people who visit the site decide what THEY like. The first option would be this logo with the 'L' behind the lettering...

There are more logo's to come but we're most definitely taking suggestions now ... Lets keep the commenting positive and constructive.

[FASHION] Spriing/Summer 2010 - LETS SHOP!!

SPRING/SUMMER 2010 is right around the corner and you know what that means ladies....SHOPPING!!!!! I've fallen in love with all the new and modified looks of this season one of them being shorts are sooooooo in! Personally, I love wearing shorts so this is definitely going to be my summer to maximize on wearing them!

ALSO the wonderful WONDERFUL jumpsuit. Not only does it look extremly cute but most certainly is one of the most comfortable things you can possibly wear (all from experience I have quite a few of these in my closet).

LET us not forget ARMOUR!!! OOH how I love thee! Its definitely a hard {lipstick.boss} look that every girl should at least try out for a day/night.

[GOODIES] Ron Artest = Dennis Rodman?!?!

RON ARTEST has officially lost his mind. Ok so he's clearly volunteered to be the new Dennis Rodman. He must have been tired of being overlooked with Kobe and Lamar taking up all the Laker limelight.

Dude actually showed up ready to play with the words "Defense" in Hindi and Japanese dyed in his hair in Laker colours....loyal!

Either way, I just see a future of sex, drugs, alcohol, women's dresses & celebrity rehab in his Ron Artest future if he continues down this path.

I suggest Ron Artest finds a new niche or muse to take after. Dennis is NOT the ideal role model!
