DAMON DASH - It's as though this man as fallen off the face of the earth. Going about my daily routine this morning surfing my favorite blog sites I stumbled across this interview that GEEDMONT TV had done with DAMON DASH on JUSLISTEN.NET. Since the highly publicized separation between Damon Dash & Jayz’ partnership Dash has kept it a point to refuse interview opportunities and keep to himself.

Kudos to the good people at GREEDMONT TV for managing to get this interview. The interview was most definitely a job well done although more provoking questions would have really done it. Dash talks about Curren$y (who they’ve managed to also get footage of) as well as what’s been his inspiration and what he’s been doing up until late.

JSHOK - a new hip hop artist emerging from Cleveland, Ohio has been making an impact on everyone he seems to come across. Follow The L was fortunate enough to get up with him and be present at his first video shoot in Brooklyn, New York. A long cold day right under the Brooklyn bridge proved hard work is something Jshok is without a doubt familiar with.

It was an experience within itself and a great opportunity for all those who attended. Thanks to Jshok for being such an amazing host on his own set.

The song the video was shot for is his first single  LOVELINE released off this mixtape Incompatible with Losing expected to be released late January early February. Produced by Johnny Juliano LOVELINE definitely packs a punch with surprise drops right in time for when Jshok spazz out on the lady in his life via Blackberry. Remember when Hip Hop use to tell stories .... I FELL IN LOVE WITH HIP HOP AGAIN THIS MORNING! Torch (Rick Ross's Artist) has helped me find my love for hip hop with his track My Testimony. As much as I can say "BUURR" or do a Souljay Boy dance this is the type of Hip Hop that needs to prevail!

Originally from Castle Hill Projects in The Bronx (UPTOWN!!!) - he later moved to Miami, FL (what a transition).

It's pretty obvious what the song is about...his life story. The beat is something like you would hear the old Beanie Sigel on with a flow that reminds me of the old Jay-Z.

[NEWS] Welcome To Your New Home Nets!!!!

YESTERDAY was a memorable day for New Yorkers and of course Jay-Z had a huge hand in making it such a big day!The a new home for the New York Nets went up. The area holds 18, 000 people and is quite the venue!

The ceremony took place in Brooklyn where the new arena is. It was huge and looked like everything went well - the smile across Jay-Z face is a dead give away. Wifey Beyonce, of course  attended looking FABULOUS as always.

Now with that said this has me thinking about the property value for the surrounding neighbors. I sure hope Jay-Z took that into consideration when contributing to the building and location of this arena. It would be a terrible thing if the nearby residence didn't have a fixed rate and could no longer afford to live there because of this.

[MUSIC] Diggy Simons RAPPING?!?!!?

OK this is really making me wish I was a Simmons child. Who knew that Diggy was rapping now?!?!?! I'd figured he was going to attempt it like his brother Jojo but leave it alone. I mean shoot I even had pipe dreams of being the next Jha Jha (Dipset's 1st lady for those who don't know) but that dream was quickly crushed when I realized it wasn't going to happen.

Well Diggy isn't half bad. Check out the video below and see for yourself. I guess iChatting Dallas Austin was useful for him.

[NEWS] Beyonce & Mama Tina's NEW SCHOOL OPENS!!!!

BEYONCE and mama Tina have officially opened up their school. Turns out that its a beauty school - Beyonce Cosmetology Centre - for rehabilitated men and women to learn the skills to keep up with maintaining themselves. GREAT idea Beyonce.

The idea of doing this apparently came to her while studying to play for her role as Etta James for Cadillac Records at Phoenix House Treatment Centre.

While being interviewed with ABC news they of course where asking a million and one questions not pertaining to the school. Of course they slickly inquired about her plans on motherhood and it's clear that Jay-Z isn't the only person eager to start having kids. Mama Tina made it very clear that she's praying for some little beybey's and jays to be running around sometime soon!
