I have been seeing a lot of fruit inspired clothing/shoes lately, including the Charlotte Olympia suede and leather fruit platform shoe. I think that they are so fun. Click here to buy

The Bronx native, Glen Ligon, is known for his conceptualized art. He is a "controversial" artist that touches on issues such as race and politics. Ligon incorporates text into his work by referencing anything from Zora Neale Hurston to porn magazines. His exhibition opened yesterday at the Whitney Museum of Arts in NYC and will continue through to June 5th.

TORONTO - All eyes are on Canada right now and rightfully so! The world has given Toronto some light and is allowing our wonderful talent to finally be heard outside of this gorgeous city. There is definitely no exception when it comes to RnB - Toronto definitely can roll with the best of the best.

The Weeknd is an artist I've been recently following heavy and one thing I absolutely adore from this artist is that he keeps leaving me wanting more. No matter how hard I search for more music or content - findings are limited. However, when The Weeknd does put out a new track like Wicked Games believe the entire city is buzzing about it.

Follow The L is definitely following The Weeknd

CHRIS BROWN - It's been a long time coming but CHRIS BROWN is back and he's definitely making it known with his new album F.A.M.E. Follow The L is fortunate enough to have received the album before release date and take a listen to it. A few of song have already been released from the album such as Deuces No Bullshit and the fan favorite Look At Me Now!! Allow us to prepare you for this album. It's without a doubt one of his personal best.

Unlike his last album F.A.M.E. has some really great upbeat songs that I see dominating the clubs all across the world this summer. Surprisingly there is a dance mix on the album which blew me away. You can look forward to hearing him collab on a few tracks with Tyga, Lil Wayne, Busta Rhymes, Justin Bieber, Wiz Khalifa and Game just to name a few.

Hands down a must have album - regardless if you had a change of heart or not after the incident with Rihanna. One thing you can not do is deny this man is a good artist who can put on one hell of a show.

On International Women's Day, I read an article that was on the front page of the Globe and Mail entitled "For the free, educated and affluent, welcome to the century of women" by Margaret Wente. She begins by stating "The war for women's right is over, and we won". Wente basically said that she finds no real reason for there to be an International Women's Day anymore as we, as women (in the Western world) already have all of the rights and equality that we will ever need. She goes on to explain that, thanks to the Industrial Revolution, we as women now have the choice to be mothers or to work in the corporate world. I found this article to be one that is deeply disturbing and almost comedic. I'm trying to figure out if this was a sad cry for attention or if she truly believes in the delusions that she is spewing out. The generalizations in this article are unbelievable, Wente is clearly using herself as the prototype for the woman that she is speaking about. The fact that she disregards the less fortunate women in our society as well as her denial that sexual harassment directed toward women has occured in the work place after the 1960s, is truly remarkable. Of course, there is also the issue of choice. We as women are now allowed to choose whether we want to be mothers or have successful careers. This statement seems to assume that we do not possess the qualities to have both, when with men, it is assumed that they can.

If you would like to take a look at the ignorance that is her article, you can do so by clicking here

I really felt that this being on the front page of the Globe and Mail on IWD was a serious insult and further establishes my concern about the state of our society and the delusions that continue to manifest within it.

CHRIS BROWN - did a photoshoot with page six and luckily the behind the scenes were caught on cam....

ANDY'S ILL - this guy is one of the most genius music producers ever. Something so far out of Follow The L's element but definitely quality music that can be appreciated by all. I literally stumbled across this guy RANDOMLY in the most far fetched way but none the less he quickly began to educated me on this type of music called Dub.

I maybe late but I'm pretty much sold on this. Without a second to waste Andy then began to play me a sample of some of his work......I must share....the first 50 secs had me going nuts.

Recently, a friend of mine went on a trip to Nigeria and to my surprise (thoughtfully) brought me back a fashion magazine! I was tres excited. As I looked through the pages, twice, thrice and for a fourth time, I discovered a lot of beautiful work. In the spirit of the upcoming Arise Magazine Fashion Week in Lagos, Nigeria I've decided to introduce you to one of the designers that really caught my eye Eredappa Hart.

Hart studied business in the UK and in 1994 she began to explore her creativity by dabbling in fashion. She started off with accessories and footwear which was sold in Europe and West Africa. She now specializes in womenswear with her self-named line, EREDAPPA. Here are a few photos from her lookbook that I am absolutely obsessed with.

Katy Perry and OPI have teamed up to bring you the Katy Perry OPI Collection :) The colour pallet for this collection is full of glitter, fun colours and features the Black Shatter polish that everyone is going crazy over!

The colours from left to right are : Last Friday Night, Not Like the Movies, The One That Got Away, Teenage Dream, and Black Shatter.

I picked up W a few days ago and Mila Kunis was on the cover. I loved her in "That 70s Show" and in Black Swan! In the magazine she speaks very nonchalantly about how acting just happened for her and wasn't anything forced. I really liked the down to earth vibe I got from the article.

Ever since seeing Halle Berry in that beautiful Marchesa gown at the Oscars, I've been having a slight Marchesa obsession, so naturally I absolutely adored the black lace Marchesa jumpsuit she was sporting in the magazine. Check it out! --->

"You know very well who you are/ Don't let them hold you down, reach for the stars/ You had a goal but not many 'cause you're the only one/ I'll give you good and plenty"
Today unfortunately is the death anniversary of Biggie Smalls and to pay our respects to one of the best rappers of all time, I decided to post one of my favourite Biggie videos released "Juicy".

KIM KARDASHIAN - perfume, shows, magazine covers, make up, music it's like she's doing more than Paris Hilton has ever done. The 30 year old can now add watches to her brand of extensive things that most of us end up wanting.

Kim K. has teamed up with The Brissmor Company and designed her NEW signature watch line. Price's aren't that bad ranging from $250 - $500. I'm personally not a fan of the watches but I do follow Kim Kardashian religiously. They do mimic the Guess watches with the flashing cubic zirconia outlining each face.

I found this to be so ridiculously cool that I just had to share. I'm sure a few Follow The L male readers can appreciate some fun new gadgets for everyday use that are in good taste.

dunhill added a new carbon fiber biometric wallet to their collection of luxury [GOODIES] and this thing is far more than just a plain wallet. The wallet can only be opened by fingerprint recognition (good luck to thieving pick pocketers) and possesses Bluetooth connectivity via smartphone. Meaning, if you've misplaced your wallet you are able to trigger an alarm within a certain distance.

So if you're looking for a new wallet gentlemen and you have about $1,400 to blow....THIS is a must have!

PHARRELL - Moving out to Miami seems to be the hot thing to do amongst those who are able to do so. Photographer Todd Selby had the opportunity to take a look into PHARRELL's new $14 million dollar estate. Flipping through the pictures it's evident that PHARRELL has made it a point to make this place more fun filled then Michael Jackson's Neverland ranch.

A big kid indeed! it's not entirely shocking that his new place has a alice in wonderland whimsical feel mixed with a seamlessly clean image that we know him for.

On the pursuit of plum lipstick, I stumbled into MAC and came across "Cyber". Although I was looking for a matte colour (and this one is satin) I quickly realized that it barely had any shine so I went with it :)

Happy INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY to all of Follow The L's women readers. Just know that today is a day for women to love women. The ladies of Follow The L are no exception, we too wanted to highlight today and wanted to let all of you know that we appreciate the support and YOU (one of our most valuable readers)!

TORONTO - Our beloved RON DIAS & the lovely SHI WISDOM have teamed up yet again on another project. In the wee hours of the morning RON DIAS passed this along to share with Follow The L readers. The video is definitely fitting for it's title with shots from St. Michael's Cathedral RON DIAS takes us down a stroll through memory lane with his lady and discusses History pt. 1.

WIZ KHALIFA - has come out with his video for Roll Up a sure summer tune for everyone. Any WIZ KHALIFA follower is well familiar with the song but the video is on point. Surprise! Surprise! Cassie is the leading lady with an even less hair then her one sided mohawk.

None the less, it video was shot in good taste but who would really expect anything less from the kid.

JRDN x LAZE-E x SOUL - Team work really makes the dream work and in this case it's working for these three guys. Follow The L was fortunate enough to get the sneak peak of what to expect with a little trailer provided SOUL himself.

OFWGKTA - Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All a young group of guys who have definitely stepped outside the box and pushed the envelope to the max!!! They've grabbed the attention of so many different people Jimmy Fallon and Erykah Badu just to name a few and rightfully so.

It's not that often you see such young talent going in a completely different direction than what they are expected to do. The video they shot for one of the members Tyler The Creator  Yonkers is just an example of what type of stuff they're putting out there. They`re definitely dancing that fine line between genius and straight crazy.

This past Saturday, I was able to stop by and support my two friends Jay Jones and Dominic "Empire"s music showcase which they normally put on every few months. Can I say how I was in awwwweee. It was amazing. From the crowd, to the venue to the artists. To be honest, there is no way I could describe how amazing it was, it's one of those you have to be there. Unfortunately, I did have to leave before it did end but I was able to catch Cherry Moon, Joe Louis, Raj, and Joel Anderson performances. Who by far are all outstanding singers, with deep, empowering voices, the kind that make you say "DAMN"... sing to me! I highly recommend everyone to attend the next Definition of Music and you won't regret it. The date will be posted on Follow The L sometime in the near future.
