THE WEEKND - Toronto's very own newest buzz has seamlessly made it to be EVERYONE's number 1 mixtape and that goes for major industry heads as well. They've managed to keep a low personal profile while bringing it back to what it's really about, MUSIC!

Easily the mixtape of the year, it seems to be picking up faster than Drake did. Rolling Stone, is no exception, did a cover story on the group describing their sound and getting those familiar with the lead singer Abel Tesfaye (yes he's habesha). Rolling Stone goes on by describing the music as "haunting" which is a pretty accurate description when really taking in the worlds to Wicked Games. For the full article click on ROLLING STONE - THE WEEKND

It the rising success that THE WEEKND has been having we pray that it continues and we hope that they're able to really live up to House of Balloons and give us more of stuff like this!

In 2005 Sony brought us a brand new way to experience portable gaming, with the PSP (Playstation Portable). What set the PSP apart from their competitor the Nintendo DS was their amazing graphics, internet capabilities and the high resolution movie experience. This year Sony took it up a notch and presented everyone with the next generation of portable gaming, hence the title NGP. Sony's NGP has a completely new redesigned user interface called LiveArea. It also has an OLED touch screen, a rear (yea thats right) touch pad for a precise gaming experience along with Sixaxis motion sensors and three-axis electronic compass. Another big feature are the front and rear cameras, to take pictures and high definition videos. Sony has also put in dual analog sticks, which many people have wanted.

Who uses a watch to tell time these days? Not me. When someone asks me what time it is, my first instinct is to check my Blackberry, even when I'm wearing a watch. This, however, doesn't mean you shouldn't buy a watch. In fact, watches are essential to completing one's look, and every guy should own a few. Yes, that means more than one. Let's face it, when it comes to fashion, when is one of anything ever enough? Correct answer: never.

The French designer, Alexandre Vauthier, counteracts the notion that being a new/young designer makes you less appealing and/or classic. He launched his line in 2009 and has been creating show stopping garments ever since. As soon as you see his work, directing your attention elsewhere becomes difficult - he's just that talented. I really appreciate the way that his clothing plays up the curves on a woman's body. They are always very flattering and very sexy.

I am positive that no one has forgotten the green Vauthier suit that Rihanna wore to the 2010 Echo awards, it had the right amount flow and just enough snug. The perfect balance.

JAYRENE - while in New York over the Christmas break I was fortunate enough to meet his incredible young woman named JayRene at a video shoot we both attended out in Brooklyn. I quickly learned that she too was a vocalist. Originally from Long Island this petite frame girl certainly shocked everyone at the shoot when she started singing in front of the entire room. Let's just say this girl can SING!

She recently put up a youtube video of her singing Take It All (by Adele) however this video definitely does not do her justice. Follow The L for more updates on JayRene
