The 40th annual Juno Awards took place tonight in Toronto at the Air Canada Centre and non other than hometown hero Drake hosted the evening. Drake opened up the show with a musical/comedy sketch with Chilly Gonzales on the piano. He did another hilarious sketch called 'Old Money' where he swagged out some seniors. There was also a tribute to Shania Twain who was honoured into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the legendary Neil Young was in the building who was honoured with the Humanitarian Award. Performances of the night included Hedley, Arcade Fire, Chromeo and many more. It was disappointing to not see any hip-hop or R&B artists perform; would have loved to see Shad going in with 'Yaa I Get It' or even Kardinal Offishall closing it out with 'The Anthem'. Nonetheless congrats to all the Canadian winners and nominees. Check out the full list of the 2011 Juno winners and nominees here.
